There are lefts too

Still need to put in a few more late nights to get a decent video done so I bring you another tasty little image from Thurso in the meantime – one of my new favourite places on earth and definitely my favourite place in the UK so far. Most of what you’ll see is right hand breaks, but there are lefts too. If you don’t believe me take a look at this left hand slab I had the pleasure (and fear) of surfing:

bagpipes-550

It goes by the name of Bagpipes and has a beautifully messed up end section. It’s the kind of place that, if you got to surf it a lot, you could really wax, but the first time you paddle out and you aren’t used to the setup it’s pretty unnerving. I have some awesome local breaks back home that I miss a lot, but I would definitely love to have a local break like this one.

Footage coming soon…(ish) :)

Mate, just listen to what people are telling you here (esp on the backlash page).

If I were you, and ever wanted to surf up there again I would wipe the whole thing off the web and start again. The 2nd time around with a lot more consideration for the locals and the people who spend hours and hours driving up there at the same cost in diesel as two return flight to Europe.

No matter how much you try to justify what you have done – even with the edits, you are HELPING to bring on the crowds…..

Just looked through the rest of your site. My comments above only apply to the Scotland part of your site. The rest looks very well done.
